IT Support Specialist

This position is also known as IT Specialist.

Duties

• Reports to the director of broadcast operations and engineering.
• Installs, repairs and replaces hardware and systems used for broadcast production and business operations.
• Performs daily maintenance on network infrastructure, computers, printers, work stations and virtual systems.
• Assists the IT manager with new platform launches, systems upgrades and imaging machine maintenance.
• Manages the hardware inventory.
• Creates backup systems.
• Provides desktop support and implements cyber security checks and balances.

Qualifications

• Able to easily troubleshoot IT issues.
• Knowledgeable about industry and business management-related software and able to configure IP networks.

Experience Level

• Prior experience with large user bases – preferably in a broadcast TV setting – is preferred.
• Technical degree in digital electronics, information systems, broadcasting or a related field is preferred.
• Special certification, such as a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) certification, is a plus.
